Our Values

Born by the Mediterranean Sea, Dor embraces the Mediterranean values of living and crafting slowly. It is created to be a life-style brand that is mindful of the earth with all its inhabitants. It is working on building a long lasting and balanced connection with its ecosystem and community.

Since 2017, we want linen to become a more common choice for everyone regardless of the season and occasion due to its environmentally superior qualities than most of the natural and synthetic fibers. We aim at carrying linen beyond its common occasions, challenge limits of the fabric and maximize its use throughout the year by versatile designs and functional details. Linen is our way of connecting to earth and keeping a balanced relationship with its resources.

The choices we make for Dor everyday, including the very decision to work with linen, are primarily based on our consideration for the environment.

We are committed to reducing our CO2 footprint

Apparel industry alone generates %4 of overall CO2 emissions and if the emission is not reduced by 50% by 2030, the negative change of the ecosystem will be irreversable.

As a-linen only brand, we use carbon neutrally manufactured linen fabric, which helps us to have 63% less carbon footrpint than the industry average.

We use materials that naturally exist

LINEN AS FABRIC: which is one of the most eco-friendly fabrics, limits our environmental impact compared to fast fashion retailers and brands that work with petrolium based fabrics or with conventional cotton.

ACCESSORIES MADE OF MOTHER
OF PEARL SHELLS:
We use branded accessories made of mother of pearl shells which are harvested commercially.

100% BIODEGRADABLE GARMENTS
We do not waste any of our fabrics or garments. But in case, any of our garments ends up in a landfill, our linen decomposes fully in around 6 months.
